In 1988, John W. Sleeman reopened the family’s brewery in Guelph, Ontario, with brews based on the original, handwritten Sleeman recipe book. John and the team worked hard and used some crafty thinking to make Sleeman the third-largest brewery in Canada—one bottle at a time.
Today, Sleeman’s team of brewmasters has over 100 years of combined brewing experience. In the spirit of the family’s brewing tradition, we continue to use a small-batch brewhouse to develop and master new, unique beer styles and flavours. It’s how Sleeman crafts high-quality beers for the masses, and why we've won numerous awards for quality and craftsmanship.

At the entrance to our brewery, we sell the beer we brew by the pack and by the glass, or you can take home a crowler of your favourite Sleeman brew. Glassware, apparel and other branded merchandise are also available, making the brewery the perfect place to find something for every Sleeman drinker. Gift certificates and tour passes are also available for purchase.
